Message I've been painting my z for a while working on it in my spare time. So far the body panels are painted, All thats left is the bumpers. I took the rock guard off because I hate the way it looks. Taking it of the car itself wasn't all that bad with a heat gun and paint scraper.

The rear bumper on the other hand is a pita. On to the pics.

This is after a little sanding

My weapons of choice

And this to remove the black strip. Be careful no to leave it on to long. This stuff is the solvent based goo gone. Removes just about any thing but destroys paint and may react to some plastics. I didn't leave it on long enough to find out if it softens our bumpers.

Mostly done. I can't get to some of the corners around the license plate. I roughed them up and probably going to fill in the rest of the voids with primer and sand it smooth.

The front bumper. I've glued, and riveted the lip on. I don't want people to look at the bumper and know its a add on lip. I've glued the seam and sanded it smooth and most likely will use some body filler I picked up from the paint store made to fill in plastics and stays flexible. No cracks or filler falling out hopefully.
